If you have to stay in hospital overnight you will usually stay on a ward.
When you stay on a ward for one or more nights you are called an inpatient.
If you have to stay overnight you should bring:
- Any medicines you are taking
- Your hospital passport (for patients with learning disabilities) – this provides hospital staff with important information about you and your health so they have a better understanding of your needs
- Hearing aids and glasses
- Nightwear
- Dressing gown
- Slippers
- Spare set of clean clothes
- 2 towels
- Wash bag with soap, flannel, toothbrush and hairbrush
