Sitting in a chair, bending the affected knee — Fig A.

Pulling against the opposite fixed leg — Fig A.

Sitting in a chair, bend the affected knee as directed by your physiotherapist (Fig A).

Try to pull against the opposite fixed leg (Fig B).

The leg will not move and you should feel the muscle at the back of the thigh tighten.
Change the angle of the exercised knee as directed by your physiotherapist.

Repeat as directed by your physiotherapist.
