Lie comfortably on your front (Fig A).
Bring your hands and elbows underneath you and slowly push through your forearms to lift your head and chest away from the bed (Fig B).
Make sure your hips stay on the bed and keep your head and neck relaxed.
Do not bend the neck backwards.
You should feel a stretch in your lower back as you extend your spine.
