Lie on your back with your knees comfortably bent (Fig A).
Try to keep your chest and upper back relaxed. You should be able to comfortably breathe throughout this movement.

Gently tilt your pelvis so that your lower back flattens against the bed (Fig B) and then slowly tilt your pelvis forwards so that you make a small arch under your lower back.
Try not to hold your breath or contract your stomach muscles.
The midpoint of this movement usually represents your neutral spine.
