The department of trauma and orthopaedic surgery has an international reputation for its leadership in clinical research.
In collaboration with the York Trials Unit, clinicians in the department are leading national multi-centre clinical trials commissioned by the National Institute for Health Research.
The department is active in supporting both commercial and non-commercial research and is also acting as the UK lead for multi-national clinical trials.
