The academy is building a community of people offering support to delivering its aims.
The only ‘ask’ of professionals is to support access to staff within their department or clinical area to enable learning events by the lead team.
There are more opportunities for anyone willing and able.
These include:
- Offering a slot for teaching the trust-wide palliative care champions
- Delivering education as part of academy learning events
- Using the academy as a platform for specialty-specific learning events relating to palliative or end of life care (such as masterclasses and conferences)
- Using the academy community to co-design and distribute resources around palliative or end of life care
The academy core team can help with departmental or specialist training, such as training doctor curriculum requirements.
