Based on the site of The James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, next to Playdays nursery, the Endeavour Cancer Unit and opposite the Spinal Injuries Unit, the centre provides a little TLC to patients with cancer and other long term conditions –  and also supports their families and hospital staff.

Trinity Holistic Centre staffAs well as a calming and welcoming environment – designed by patients and their families who chose the artwork and furniture that makes this such a bright and comforting space – the centre also offers emotional and psychological support and a range of wellbeing projects to promote the overall health and fitness of individuals affected by cancer and other long-term conditions.

“Any patients who have an appointment and want to sit somewhere other than a clinical waiting room are welcome to Trinity garden2relax and have a tea or coffee here. We run craft sessions, have a sensory room space – and the garden is a lovely place to sit and reflect when the weather is nice.” Lauren Farrow, manager

Our services are designed to provide any of the non-clinical support you might need to promote your wellbeing. Complementary therapies are only one part of this and these are provided alongside conventional treatments with the support and consent of a patient’s clinical team.
