Aim

Whether adults with a fracture of the scaphoid waist should receive plaster cast treatment or surgical fixation.

Design

Randomised controlled trial and economic evaluation.

Participants

Men and women aged 16 or over who have fractures of the scaphoid waist and present to the hospital fracture clinic within three weeks of their injury.
