Visit us in the atrium
The trust’s tobacco dependency treatment team will be in the atrium at The James Cook University Hospital on Wednesday 8 March for No Smoking Day.
Staff, patients and visitors will be able to chat to the team and learn all about the tobacco dependency service and the trust’s commitment to providing smoke free sites.
Smoking increases your risk of dementia
Did you know that smoking increases your risk of developing dementia?
The poisons in tobacco smoke damage blood vessels and kill off brain cells and neurons, increasing your chances of a heart attack, stroke and dementia.
Quitting smoking improves brain health and reduces your chances of dementia.
It’s never too late to quit. For support visit www.freshquit.co.uk
