
Kirsty Jones, consultant therapist in stroke and complex rehabilitaion, is the consultant responsible for the recovery and rehabilitation of stroke patients on this unit. With medical support from an advanced clinical practitioner and nurse practioners.
The unit has a committed multi-disciplinary team, with occupational therapists and physiotherapists, dieticians, neuropsychologist and speech and language therapists based on the ward working alongside the nursing staff all providing the unit with regular rehabilitation sessions.
The unit has excellent facilities and the added support of the stroke early supported discharge team.
This enables nursing staff and therapists to work closely together and gives patients access to a wide range of experts on one site.

When are we available?
The rehabilitation unit is a 24-hour service with physiotherapy and occupational therapy input is available seven days a week between 8am and 4.30pm.
