We provide support for those patients needing anaesthetic or airway support in the cardiac catheter laboratories.
We are also responsible for patient care on the 12-bedded cardiothoracic intensive care unit.
We are supported by five fully trained advanced critical care practitioners along with three trainees.
We provide training in cardiothoracic anaesthesia, including transoesophageal echocardiography, and intensive care medicine for anaesthesia trainees in the Northern Deanery.
