Our service includes registered dietitians who are trained to degree level. The dietitians are experts in translating scientific nutritional information into practical dietary advice.
We provide accurate, impartial advice to treat ill health, prevent food-related problems and maximise recovery.
We are a team of dietitians, dietetic assistants and a specialist nutrition nurse. Our service provides nutrition and dietetic support for patients in hospitals and in the community.
Locations
- The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough and the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton.
- Community clinics and hospitals, nursing homes and within people’s own homes for Hambleton, Richmondshire, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland.
- The satellite renal dialysis centres in Darlington, Stockton and North Ormesby.
- Teesside Hospice.
We work across different settings, which means that people seen by our service while in hospital can be followed up in the community when required.
