Our urgent care services provide patient care for those with minor injuries and illnesses. Staff from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, local GP federation Hartlepool and Stockton Health (H&SH) and the North East Ambulance Service work in alliance to provide the services at Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar.
The service is for urgent needs only – giving treatment for a range of minor injuries and illnesses. Our urgent treatment centres are open seven days a week – including bank holidays – and are located at:
- University Hospital of Hartlepool (open 24 hours)
- University Hospital of North Tees (open 24 hours)
- The James Cook University Hospital (open 24 hours)
- Redcar Primary Care Hospital (open 8am until midnight)
If you are unwell and need to use the service we advise that you book an appointment first visiting 111.nhs.uk or calling NHS 111, as this may help to speed up your treatment.
If you have a minor injury, you can still walk into the centres without an appointment.
