You can still be a flu carrier even if you have no symptoms and you have the best protection if you develop immunity before the flu virus starts circulating.
The most effective way to protect yourself from the flu every year is to have the flu jab.
The JCVI has advised that, for most people, it is fine to have the flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same time.
You may be offered them at the same time or you may be offered, or to decide to have them, separately. We would encourage you to get both vaccinations as soon as you can and not delay.
