Revalidation aims to give extra confidence to patients that their doctor is being regularly checked by their employer and the GMC.
Every doctor who holds a licence to practise is legally required to revalidate, usually every five years, by having a regular appraisal based on the GMC’s core guidance for doctors, Good Medical Practice.
The trust is committed to ensuring that doctors remain fit to practise by ensuring its processes are robust to meet the requirements for revalidation.
