Help us keep everyone safe

Advice on when to wear a face covering and how to practice good hand hygiene.

Do I need to wear a face covering?

To help us keep our most vulnerable patients safe please still wear a face mask if you are visiting haematology (ward 33/haematology day unit), the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre, patients who are immunocompromised or patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19.

If you would like to wear a mask in other areas you are of course welcome to do so. Masks will be available at main entrances or please ask any member of staff.

How to use and dispose of your mask safely

Hand hygiene advice

Regular hand washing is an effective way to reduce your risk of catching illnesses, including COVID-19.

You should wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser regularly throughout the day.

Hand santiser is widely available at all our main entrances and departments and should be used each time you enter or leave an area.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
