While your statutory right of access remains unchanged, our resources may be diverted away from usual compliance or information requests work at this time.â¯Therefore, we would ask that before submitting any requests for information that you check ourâ¯website first, as it may be already published and available.
FOI requests regarding coronavirus (COVID-19)
If you are looking at submitting an FOI request regarding COVID-19 data; in the first instance please look at the NHS England website which provides patient related COVID-19 data supplied by all NHS trusts within England.
Prioritising essential services
If you cannot find the information you require, or you require copies of your own information under a subject access request, please be aware that our need to prioritise essential services to ensure the wellbeing of ourâ¯patients during the pandemic may mean that you experience a delay in receiving a response.
Following guidance from the ICO, we will keep requesters informed of any delays and will respond as soon as resources allow. We will also be keeping up to date on guidance from the ICO as the situation changes to ensure that we comply with any changes or amendments to information rights practice.

We have a duty to respond to each request for information within 20 working days. We also have a responsibility to inform the public about the scheme and meet our obligations to provide appropriate information in the interests of the public.
We shall supply any requested documents free of charge unless we notify the requester in advance. Under the terms of the act, we are not obliged to provide any information that meets the following criteria:
commerically sensitive or matters of security
information available elsewhere
* as defined by the Data Protection Act
Personal information and accessing health records
Under the Data Protection Act 2018 you have subject rights of access to view any information we keep concerning you, whether this is your medical records or on our electronic patient administration system.
