Our flu campaign has officially launched and we are encouraging staff to get the flu jab, not the virus, as soon as possible.
Help protect yourself, your patients, colleagues and loved ones by saying no to the flu, this winter.
Flu champions
Don’t let the flu make you feel blue – our flu fighter champions are out and about in wards, departments and community hospitals to help bring the flu jab to you.

Drop in clinics in the staff restaurant
Short on time? Our flu fighters will be in the staff restaurant at The James Cook University Hospital on the following dates and staff are welcome to drop in for their vaccine. No booking is required.

If staff are unable to attend one of the drop in clinics, they can also make an appointment to have their vaccination at a time convenient to them by emailing: [email protected]
Roaming vaccinator clinics for February
Staff can call our roaming vaccinator to get their flu jab between 10-2pm in February on the dates below :

What do I need when I get my flu jab?
When you get your jab, you’ll be asked to fill in a slip and advised to add:
Your personal details
Including your date of birth and telephone number
Your payroll number
Your payroll number can be found by logging in to ESR and is on your payslip as ‘assignment number’. If you are not paid by the trust (such as doctors in residence), you can leave the payroll number blank.
Your NHS number
If you don’t know it, you can find your NHS number online or on your NHS app.
Monthly vaccination prize draw
Staff who have either their flu or COVID-19 vaccine will be entered into our monthly vaccination prize draw. The earlier you get your vaccine/s, the more chances you have to win some fantastic prizes.
