Understanding online safety is tricky for all ages, but there are ways you can protect yourself online.
- Make sure your anti-virus and firewall software is always up to date 
- Make sure your internet browser is always up to date 
- Create a strong password – avoid passwords that contain personal details about yourself (for example your child’s name or your pet’s name) 
- Always use different passwords for different websites 
- Regularly update your passwords 
- Never share your passwords and don’t write them down where they can be easily seen 
- Don’t set your browser to remember your log in details
