Following the assessment process the cochlear implant team will
meet to decide if your child would benefit from a cochlear
implant. You will be told about the decision and if we are going
to offer an implant you will be given a date for surgery and an
appointment to see the surgeon and sign the consent form.
Now that your child has been referred to the North East Regional Cochlear Implant Programme, they will need to undergo a range of assessments in order to determine if cochlear implants would be a suitable option for them.
