Many patients who are under the care of a consultant are also often referred onward to the physiotherapy department for continuation of their rehabilitation. We also accept written referrals the emergency department.
You may also be referred to physiotherapy following an appointment within our MSK service.
You will be contacted either by phone or letter informing you of your appointment once we have received your referral.
However sometimes we may need you to attend one of our larger rehabilitation bases usually Friarage Hospital in Northallerton or The Friary Community Hospital in Richmond.
Physio Direct
Within the Hambleton and Richmondshire area you are also able to self refer via Physio Direct. This is based within the physiotherapy department at the Friarage Hospital.
Patients can contact Physio Direct without the need for a referral from their GP or other health professional.
Patients can ring the Physio Direct telephone number and are able to register their referral with our administration team.
They will then be offered either a telephone consultation (PhysioCall) or a face to face appointment (PhysioContact) with a physiotherapist.
