Redcar Hospital rehab

Routine visiting on Zetland ward is 3pm to 8pm every day.

We do recognise there may be special circumstances that make these times difficult for someone and will always try to be as flexible as possible.

Visitors are asked to help our staff in the fight against the spread of infection by:

  • washing your hands with soap and water, or using the hand gel provided, when arriving and leaving a ward
  • avoid visiting at mealtimes unless you are actively involved in the patient’s care or at the request of a member of nursing staff
  • using the chairs provided in the wards and not sitting on patients’ beds
  • not smoking in our hospitals or in hospital grounds
  • not bringing flowers onto the wards
  • avoiding visiting if you have flu-like symptoms or if you have suffered sickness and diarrhoea in the last 48 hours

Carers are welcome

We welcome the carers of our patients in our wards and departments and would like to work in partnership with you. If you are a carer please let the staff know who you are so as they can support you and your loved one during their stay.
