Your child’s appointments will remain with the same members of staff and will be seen just as regularly for their tuning appointments.
Within these appointments however, your audiologist will slowly begin to introduce encouraging your child to take responsibility of their own equipment so they may practice how to manage it independently.
As your child gets older we will also support them in becoming more independent in contacting their company or our team and can discuss when it may be appropriate to start attending appointments alone.
We may also ask your child about their career choices in order to provide any information for further support (such as what support they are entitled to at college or university) and also ensure your child has the correct equipment and programmes in line with their changing hearing needs.
