Our social worker at the centre is Lucy Bartkiw and available Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm.
The role of our social worker in the spinal cord injuries centre is to facilitate social care assessments from the patient’s home area. These assessments are required for provision of care when the patient is discharged.
Our social worker will provide advice and assistance with benefit claims and housing applications.
Welfare benefits
A representative from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) visits the centre every other Wednesday. An appointment will be made for patients to see the representative to assist with benefit claims.
