The Golden Jubilee Regional Spinal Cord Injuries Centre has access to a dedicated liaison psychiatry nurse.
This nurse is part of the liaison psychiatry team, whom offer person centred assessment and interventions, support, advice and mental health education and promotion, and aim to ensure the best patient experience.
Our success depends upon working in partnership with patients and the people who support them. In collaboration with staff of the acute services, other mental health and mainstream health teams, and voluntary, private and health and social care providers.
We are committed to promoting positive attitudes towards mental health and to improving the knowledge and understanding of staff working in the spinal cord injuries service, enabling them to better support individuals with mental health needs.
