By road

The Friarage Hospital is based in the centre of Northallerton with easy access from the main routes, including the A19 and the A167. A general map containing information about how to get to the hospital, where to park and a site plan should have been included in your appointment letter. Please try to arrange for a relative or friend to bring you to hospital as parking space is limited.

By bus

Local bus services provide regular links within Northallerton to most major towns and villages in the surrounding area. For further information about local bus times contact 0870 6082608. The major bus operators are Arriva, Dales and District and Stagecoach Transit.

By rail

Arriva Trains Northern, National Express East Coast, Trans Pennine Express and Virgin Cross Country are the local rail operators. For more information about rail services contact 0845 7484950 or click here to visit the National Rail Enquiries website.

Shuttle bus

Hambleton Richmondshire and Whitby CCG is no longer funding the shuttle bus service between the Friarage Hospital and The James Cook University Hospital. The current service stopped operationg on Thursday 30 June 2016. Please see the CCG’s website for more details.
