Here at the James Cook major trauma service we offer a regional pelvic and acetabular (hip joint) reconstruction service.
Mr Craig White, supported by the multidisciplinary team, accepts referrals from throughout the region and deals with acute pelvic and acetabular injury received at the hospital.
Injuries to the pelvis and acetabulum rarely happen alone and often occur following quite significant injury such as road traffic accidents or due to a fall from a height.
Surgery is not always required for these injuries and following review by our team, patients with pelvic and acetabular trauma will be advised how they can further rehabilitate.
