The quickest route is via the Bridge entrance on the ‘orange’ route.

Semen infertility and post vasectomy samples
Ideally the specimen should be taken directly to the Clinical Pathology Reception at the University Hospital of North Tees.

Friarage Hospital
Within the Friarage, pathology is on the 2nd floor.

Sample delivery to Friarage Laboratory
Monday to Friday
Samples arriving between 8am and 9am and the shutters are down, please post through the letterbox and ring the bell.
If samples are to be sent to the lab between 5.30pm and 7pm for testing, please post through the letterbox and ring the bell.

Weekends and Bank Holidays
Samples arriving between 8am and 7pm, please post through the letterbox and ring the bell.
For any issues contact the lab staff on extension 63036 or 63037.
Out of hours sample delivery
Any samples arriving between 7pm and 8am will be sent to James Cook via CDU. Please ensure samples are taken to CDU for packaging and transportation.
Please do not post samples through the letterbox as the lab ceases testing at 7pm but staff are available for queries until 8pm. After 8pm, any issues should be addressed with James Cook on extension 54371 and any transfusion related issues should be addressed on extension 52630.
